Watch your word

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul. (Proverbs 16:24)

In Ohio stands a courthouse that has an unusual location. Raindrops that fall on the north side of the building [wind up in the Atlantic], while those falling on the south side [flow toward] the Gulf of Mexico. At. . .the peak of the roof, just a gentle puff of wind can. . .make a difference of more than 2,000 miles [in a raindrop's] final destination. . . .

[In the same way, our words] could change the course of others' lives. . .and could also affect their eternal destiny. An unkind word or a thoughtless act can do much damage, [while] a kind word, a helpful deed, a pat on the back, a sincere testimony. . .[could] even be used of God to bring a person to Christ.
