The $5 million structure boasts ten-inch concrete walls designed to withstand the force of 130 mph winds..... The Center is there to provide a safe working environment for the people who monitor the weather and issue the warnings. When other residents leave, they must stay.

Just like the hurricanes, the storms of our lives arrive with unnerving regularity. Often they...[test] the limits of our faith and endurance. But God Himself is our center of safety. It is not our strength but His that shields us from the whirling winds of circumstance and change.
